We just had a virtual sales meeting for our offices and I passed on the following information. A lot is happening with new homes in Wellen Park (The West Villages) and Venice FL.
Neal Communities (Grand Palm, Milano, Vicenza, Aria) has purchased a large parcel of land adjacent to the Braves spring training stadium, and Islandwalk. No word on a name for a future community yet.
Sarasota National has just a few remaining buildings under construction for their popular carriage homes. When those are sold, it will the the last of their new homes. In Gran Paradiso, single family homes are sold out, with a few new town homes remaining.
Clearing for Beachwalk has begun. This will be located just south of the Jacaranda/Englewood Rd. intersection and will be only 2 miles to Manasota Beach. Look for similar floor plans as sister community Islandwalk.
In case you missed this update, Toll Brothers is building in Venice Woodlands, along with Meritage Homes. Toll Brothers is associated with good quality construction and higher priced homes, but they will be building at a more affordable price point, with floor plans they are not offering elsewhere.
Remember, new homes cost the same as the builder's advertised prices when you're working with your own Realtor. The builder's sales associates know their product very well, but usually can't help you compare other new home neighborhoods by other builders, or show you resale properties.
