I get many calls from potential home buyers asking about Wellen Park. Most of these buyers are looking for a less expensive alternative to Venice or Sarasota new homes.
Well, this morning I received email alerts from a builder in Wellen Park about taking offers on quick move in homes. These homes will be ready in 6 to 8 months. The suggested offers start above a half a million, and go up to the $900,000's.
Maybe it's just me, but a sales price just under $1 million is tough to rationalize for what is basically a North Port address.
In this real estate market there not many, if any, less expensive alternatives in the immediate area. I don't see this changing any time soon. Remote work is here to stay, and the national housing market is short 6 million units.
There's always North Port or Port Charlotte. I'd also recommend looking at interior sections of Florida, between Tampa and Orlando in Polk and Hillsboro counties.
